I can’t think of a creative D&D-related title.

It’s true. I can’t.

So my friends and I have been playing D&D weekly for a couple of months now, in order to try out the new 4th edition. I’m DMing, and they are working their way through the Keep on the Shadowfell adventure. They’ve just recently hit level 3. The party consists of:

Thorfin Koganusan, Dwarf Fighter

Obi-wan Kenobi (I know, creative name. That player’s more interested in combat than roleplaying), Tiefling Warlock

Requishhna (nicknamed Quiche), Human Wizard (and a big girl, too. She didn’t bother changing the weight and height stats on the quick start character I gave her)

Gregoria House, Halfling Cleric (he did the research, and apparently Halfling male names typically end in a. Humans just think it’s silly so automatically change it to an o, it seems.)

And an as-yet-unnamed Half-elf Paladin. She’s the character of a girl who was only with us for two sessions. The first one, she used an Elven ranger, but apparently she hates elves. So I helped her make a half-elf paladin to make up for it. And now she’s gone to school for the semester, so we’re trying to find a replacement player.

The party has explored the countryside, killed a lot of kobolds and delved into the first level of the Keep. I’m going to get the Dwarf and Wizard (the two most dedicated players) to write up a decent recap, which I will post here. There were some good moments, certainly. Like when, to end an encounter with a few kobolds, Thorfin used his Brute Strike daily power to hit a kobold so hard, his skull shot out his backside.

I’ll also post a review of the actual new rule system later, when it’s not four in the morning.

Stay tuned!

I’m trying to keep it active, certainly. If I know people are reading it, I’ll definitely keep it going as much as I can.
